A topological gap waveguide based on unidirectional locking of pseudo-spins

Photonic topological insulators have been widely studied due to the robustness of energy transport via supported edge modes immune structural disorder. In this work, a gap waveguide is constructed by introducing line defect into photonic crystal structure and combining it with structure, design which, therefore, combines advantages both waveguides. Not only does give high transmission efficiency but also enables for under defects sharp bends. Our proposed can be implemented conventional semiconductor technology integrated optical circuits communication systems.
